A Traditional Wedding at The Palmetto Club in Columbia, South Carolina

Julie Bishop (30 and works in property management) and Jamey Goldin (29 and an attorney) met while they were both attending the University of Georgia and quickly became best friends. After graduation, the pair parted ways, Julie heading to Birmingham, AL and Jamey moving to Columbia, SC to pursue a law degree. They remained friends during their time apart and a few years later, decided to take their relationship to the next level. Julie packed everything up and made a life changing move to Columbia to be with Jamie. For their autumn wedding, the couple brought their family and friends to their new South Carolina home. They opted for a classic, elegant affair to celebrate their union, kicking the day off a with a traditional ceremony at their Shandon Presbyterian Church, their neighborhood church in Columbia. After the ceremony, guests headed over to The Palmetto Club and danced the evening away to the sounds of Fantastic Voyage. The couple chose pretty pink and white arrangements of roses, hydrangeas and mums for both the ceremony and reception and sprinkled in personal touches throughout the day like Georgia shaped cookies, a nod to their alma mater, and signature cocktails that featured their favorite drinks. The setting provided plenty of beautiful photo opportunities, with the fall leaves and stone church bringing an air of romance and seasonality to the shots. The couple's wedding attire embodied timeless elegance with Julie donning a whimsical Christos ball gown and Jamey opting for a traditional black tuxedo.
