A Traditional Wedding at the Old Town Country Club in Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Classic and traditional is what came to mind when Mary Scott Haynie (23 and a PA student) and Tim Brady (24 and a medical student) started planning their May wedding in Winston-Salem, NC. The couple began by choosing formal stationary and timeless fashions to set the tone for the day, Mary Scott looking opting for an elegant A-line gown with all over lace and Tim choosing a polished navy suit. Kicking the day off with a traditional ceremony at First Presbyterian Church, Mary Scott’s home church, was a must for the couple, who said their “I do’s” surrounded by a host of their closest friends and family members. A palette of red, yellow, coral and navy translated into cascading arrangements of stock, hypericum berries and vines, which brought the church to life and added a playful touch to the reception space at the Old Town Country Club. Southern-inspired fare, including barbecue and Arnold Palmer signature cocktails, served as a nod to the wedding’s locale, while vintage details like an antique typewriter, which guests used to write their well wishes for the newlyweds, introduced a playful, personal note to the décor.
