A Traditional Wedding at the Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Florida
After just over a year of planning, Rachel, a speech therapy team leader, 30, and David, a curriculum resource teacher, 31, had an intimate and elegant wedding with their 68 guests. "We truly felt surrounded by people who loved and cared about us on our special day," says Rachel. Their wedding colors were silver and white with eggplant accents. Following a personal a first look, the couple had a traditional Jewish ceremony. Their huppah was draped in silver fabric and topped with a diagonal arrangement of white roses and white hydrangeas. It was accented by rows of silver chiavari chairs and tall arrangements of the same flowers in cylinder vases at the beginning of the aisle. Guests then moved directly into the reception where they enjoyed a three course sit-down dinner. This included a crab cake and shrimp appetizer, salad, and choice of four entrees before Rachel and David cut their red velvet two-tier confection. The couple also had a traditional hora dance and took pictures with their guests in a photo booth.
