Human resources professionals Joel Pacheco (44) and Laszlo Varga (43) planned a classic wedding punctuated with regal purple flourishes. The couple’s traditional Episcopal ceremony took place at Joel’s local parish, where he’s attended services for years. The grooms looked dapper in classic black tuxedos with matching purple pocket squares and transformed a dining hall at Rutgers University—where Laszlo has worked for more than two decades—into a romantic setting for their reception. Tall centerpieces of purple and cream roses and curly willow branches topped the reception tables, where guests dined on food inspired by the couple: Hungarian for Laszlo’s heritage, Spanish for Joel’s ancestry and French since they got engaged in Paris.
