A Traditional Wedding at Mayfair Farms in West Orange, New Jersey
Danielle Gaffney (28 and a social worker) and Brendan Norek's (29 and in finance) traditional purple wedding was filled with memorable details and fall-inspired accents. The day started with a traditional ceremony at Saint James Church and ended in a fun reception under purple uplighting at Mayfair Farms. Skip's Florist helped the couple fill their celebration with eye-catching arrangements with accents that put a twist on the customary fall color scheme of orange, yellow and neutral hues. The team designed an eclectic bouquet for Danielle with white and pink roses, blush garden roses, burgundy dahlias, yellow hypericum berries, seeded eucalyptus and burgundy calla lilies, all tied with a burgundy ribbon. The couple's mothers' bouquets included baby pictures of the bride and groom for a personal touch. Danielle also wore a locket around her ankle with a photograph of her late father. Another notable detail: There was one table for each of the 10 years Danielle and Brendan dated, with corresponding personal photos placed in wine-cork table-number holders. The couple used autumn inspiration to build new memories too. As each of their 125 guests entered the reception, he or she was asked to sign a leaf-shaped note and hang it on golden branches for the guest book. VeroLuce Photography captured these details and more, below. For future couples, Danielle shares a tip: “Enjoy the wedding planning as much as possible. It flies by, and you'll miss it once its over. Any help is welcome. Recruit whoever is willing to help and delegate as much as possible. Most important, don't sweat the small stuff. Something will inevitably go wrong. You have to be able to go with it and laugh it off. It's your day, so spend it happily!”
