A Traditional Spring Wedding at the Hotel Lafayette in Buffalo, New York

The rustic, yet modern decor of the Hotel Lafayette, with its exposed brick walls, soft lighting and urban atmosphere was all that was necessary to inspire Jennifer Churchill (26 and an administrative assistant) and Daniel Schneider (26 and a chef) when it came to planning their wedding. The couple was initially drawn to the venue not only for its historic characteristics, but its sentimental value as well. Jennifer’s great-grandparents spent their wedding night at the very same hotel. Playing off the spring season, the couple chose a color palette of bright teal and pink to bring the historic venue to life. Hundreds of floating candles, arrangements of soft pink blooms and lace accents struck the perfect balance of modern and timeless romance. While the décor was all classic elegance, fun touches like a photo booth stocked with over-the-top props, a mouth-watering menu with a comprehensive list of craft beers and late-night snacks to keep the party going late into the night were a big hit with guests and added a personal touch to the evening.
