A Traditional Southern Wedding at Stone Bridge Farms in Cullman, Alabama

Carrie-Anne Kennemer (28, Children’s Fashion Designer) met Slayde Guess (23, Marshall Farmer’s Co-Op Employee) through mutual friends. On March 6, 2013 Slayde planned their proposal, under the disguise of a walk through their local golf course. Carrie-Anne had other intentions, however, eagerly walking through the course not allowing Slayde the proper time to stop and pop the question. Later that same day, while the two got ready for a dinner date, Slayde asked Carrie-Anne which coat she would be wearing to dinner. With Carrie-Anne’s fashion selection in mind, Slayde slipped the ring in her pocket as she was upstairs primping for the date. Slayde, pretending to look for something, asked Carrie-Anne to check her pockets before they left for the restaurant. There, she found a stunning halo-surrounded 3-carat round diamond ring. As she confusedly pulled the ring from her pocket, Slayde dropped to one knee, asking Carrie-Anne to be his bride. Over the course of their 15-month long engagement, Carrie-Anne and Slayde planned a traditional southern wedding to be held in June. On June 21, 2014 300 of the couples’ closest friends and family members gathered at Stone Bridge Farms in Cullman, Alabama for the indoor ceremony and reception.
