A Traditional, Romantic Wedding at Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, Michigan

Believe it or not, Allison and Roni Leibovitch's August celebration couldn't have happened without another wedding: Allison's sister's! "My sister introduced Roni and me at her wedding when I came into town to help out," Allison says of meeting her husband. After Roni popped the question in early 2013, the couple quickly began planning a romantic Jewish wedding at the Pegasus Garden at Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, Michigan, for the following September. "We both wanted an outdoor chuppah, and the moment I saw the venue, I fell in love," Allison says. Dressed in a long-sleeve lace gown and silver Jimmy Choo heels, Allison and Roni exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony in front of 200 guests before retreating to their white tented reception on the mansion's expansive lawn. "Nature is much more beautiful than the grandest ballroom, and we were grateful to hold our ceremony and reception outdoors under a beautiful Michigan backdrop," Allison says. A soft color palette of lilac and gray lent a romantic feel to the space, while elegant details—including lush, ivory arrangements and ornate chandeliers—gave the tented venue a more formal feel. As for wedding day advice, Allison stresses remaining present throughout the entire day, no matter what obstacles you may encounter. "Avoid dwelling on what's coming up and just enjoy your surroundings," she says. "That goes for your wedding day and life as a whole."
