A Traditional, Pastel Wedding at The Riverside Room at Minneapolis Event Centers in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Kristin Ritter (33 and a surgeon) and Peter Grundman (34 and an accountant) combined classic and contemporary elements for a unique twist on their wedding day. Case in point: modern silver linens and pops of purple were unexpected in a space full of simple woodwork. The invitation included floral accents and a trifold insert with a map of important locations. The couple made sure to prioritize their families. “We both have tight-knit families, so it was important to have our only niece and nephews in the ceremony as a flower girl and ring bearers,” Kristin says. After the ceremony, the newlyweds took a trolley ride around town with their wedding party while they enjoyed drinks. “We wanted some time with our friends and siblings away from the craziness,” Kristin says. For the reception, Kristin added a pearl-and-crystal studded belt and a necklace Peter gifted her the night before. She also traded in her veil for a floral comb for some color. Since the duo doesn't like cake, they chose to serve multiple flavors of cheesecake instead.
