A Traditional Loft Wedding at Brazos Hall in Austin, Texas
Aly Greenblum (27 and a senior research manager) and Brandon Phillips's (33 and a senior manager) meet-cute was straight out of a rom-com: they met at Aly's cousin’s wedding. For their own celebration, a traditional Jewish ceremony and an “epic dance party” with Motown hits made theirs a night to remember.
The pair warmed up Brazos Hall, a downtown loft space, with neutrals, gold décor and lush florals. “I wanted our wedding to feel like us: elegant but not overly formal, with an Austin vibe,” Aly says.
After exchanging vows under a chuppah adorned with hydrangeas, the newlyweds and their guests found their seats with the help of calligraphed magnolia leaves. Matte gold flatware, antique glasses and menus featuring a custom logo marked each setting.
For the black-tie affair, Aly wore a lace gown with sleeves that she removed for the reception, while Brandon looked to the locale for shoe inspiration: He paired his tux with black cowboy boots.
The night capped with an array of sweet crowd pleasers, including s’mores tarts and crème brûlée.
