A Traditional Jewish Wedding at The Addison in Boca Raton, Florida
While Rachel, 28, and Evan, 29, live in Chicago, the couple planned a traditional Jewish wedding in Boca Raton, Florida. "We wanted our guests to know we like to party and have a good time," says Rachel. Their wedding colors included metallic hues such as gold and silver as well as ivory and white. Following their first look, the couple had a traditional Jewish ceremony. Their huppah was draped in white fabric and decorated with ivory hydrangeas on each post. Gold chiavari chairs were set for each guest with either white and green hydrangeas or a "reserved row" sign tied to the end of each row. Arrangements of white hydrangeas, roses, calla lilies and hints of green hydrangeas were set throughout the reception and ceremony. Rachel carried an all-white bouquet while her bridesmaids carried bouquets of white and green hydrangeas. The Maid of Honor carried a bouquet accented with white anemones. The black center complemented the bridesmaids' black satin peplum gowns and the groomsmen's black tuxedos. The couple celebrated with a reception at the same location as the ceremony, The Addison. Guests were given a two-course sit-down dinner and a trio of specialty desserts rather than a traditional wedding cake. They also enjoyed a live band and photo booth complete with custom Abramowitz logo glasses and various props. At midnight, a make-your-own sundae bar and snack station with items such as sliders and french fries were also available. Rachel and Evan gave their guests champagne splits as favors. The couple took home an statue resembling an Oscar with the words lifetime achievement award printed on the front.
