A Traditional Greek Orthodox Wedding at Four Seasons Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts

Demetra Gartaganis (28, an account manager) and Michael J. Crotty Jr. (32, a basketball coach)  were introduced professionally by a mutual friend via email. Despite the fact that Michael’s focus was in finance while Demetra was searching for a marketing role, they set up a time to meet at Michael’s office. After a few weeks of madly searching for marketing jobs so that he could stay in contact with Demetra on a professional level, he decided to do what he wanted to do from the moment he first saw her: ask her out on a date. After their first date, a Celtic's game, the pair quickly became inseparable. With the help of her family, Michael proposed in the small Greek village of Stemnitsa—the town where her father was born and she was baptized. After their far-flung engagement, the couple set their eyes on their beloved hometown of Boston for their wedding. The day began with a Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony at St. John the Baptist Hellenic Orthodox Church, followed by a traditional ballroom reception at the Four Seasons Hotel. Demetra and Michael decorated their traditional occasion with neutral shades of white and ivory accented with glam gold details for a truly timeless effect.
