A Traditional Fall Wedding at Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Macomb, Michigan
Tiffany (35 and in medical insurance billing) and Tom (33 and a design engineer) met at a bar in Windsor, Canada in 2002, but they didn't actually start dating until six years later. After a five-year relationship, Tom decided to propose on Easter. Enticed by the prospect of chocolate (she had given it up for Lent), Tiffany was eager to participate in an Easter egg hunt that Tom had planned just for her. There were forty-five eggs scattered around the house, each with a puzzle piece that, when assembled, revealed a romantic photograph of the couple from Christmas. When only one missing piece remained, Tom presented her with the last egg--containing a ring and a piece that said, "Marry me?" They held their fall wedding at the Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Macomb, Michigan, instantly falling in love with its large windows and outdoor gazebo. They had a color scheme of ivory and various shades of vibrant purple that they incorporated into the rose and iris bouquets and centerpieces, the bridesmaids' full length strapless dresses, and the groomsmen's purple pocket squares (which the tuxedo store already had prepared from a previous wedding in the exact shade of purple they needed). Tiffany wore a strapless, lightweight Mori Lee wedding dress with a drop waist and a frilly tulle skirt. She paired the dress with a fingertip-length veil and a headband in her curled updo. At the reception, guests chose from a wide selection of traditional chicken, steak, and pasta dishes, followed by a special late night snack of pizza and cider donuts from a local orchard.
