A Traditional, Elegant Wedding at Biltmore Forest Country Club in Asheville, North Carolina

Derin Togar (31 and a pop singer) and Trevor Astey (28 and a music producer) met in New York City at a recording studio when Trevor arrived 20 minutes early for his session. While he was waiting, Trevor was able to eavesdrop on Derin playing a few tracks in the studio. Not able to contain himself any longer, Trevor chimed in saying, "I think I have a track for you to sing to." After recording their first song together, their relationship blossomed. One early morning after Derin had been sick, Trevor woke her to get camera-ready. To her surprise, after arriving at a restaurant, she found extra-large baskets and realized they were going up in a hot-air balloon! At 5,000 feet, Trevor got down on one knee and the pilot said through the radio, "She said yes -- we don't have to throw her overboard!" Being of Turkish descent, Derin and Trevor had two weddings, one in Turkey and one in the United States. For their wedding in the States, the couple tied the knot at All Souls Cathedral, where Derin's parents were married. Having the reception at the Biltmore Forest Country Club was a no-brainer for Derin and Trevor because Derin's family has been involved in the club for more than two generations. The couple had finger foods instead of a traditional banquet dinner paired with a cake station and mini ice cream cones. To continue the party into the night, Derin and Trevor had a DJ at each wedding who provided American, Cuban and Turkish music to satisfy every musical taste in the crowd. Because of the entertaining bewilderment of a wedding, Derin's biggest piece of advice is to have a video made! "It is well worth the expense because you will feel like you have missed most of your wedding from the whirlwind experience."
