A Classic, Elegant Wedding at Bev's on the River in Sioux City, Iowa

Kathryn Fleming (25 and a pediatric nurse) and Jason Williams (26 and a chiropractor) met through mutual friends while in college together at the University of Iowa. They had an immediate attraction to each other and began dating not long after meeting. Years later, on Valentine's Day and their anniversary, Kady woke to roses and chocolates with a card from Jason. They went to dinner at Olive Garden where they had their first date. After a lovely dinner and a horse drawn carriage ride, Kady and Jason headed back to Kady's apartment. When Kady opened the door to her apartment, she saw rose petals and candles throughout the room. Their dog greeted them at the door with a sign that read, "will you marry my daddy?"Jason held a sign that read, "11:11 make a wish" with 11 reasons why he wanted to marry Kady and why he loved her. Kady and Jason decided to get married at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Sioux City, IA. "We chose this because we are both Catholic and always imagined getting married in this particular church," Kady says. Their reception was held at Bev's on the River. The banquet hall was beautiful and allowed the reception to go late giving Kady and Jason more time with their guests. Their colors were coral, peach and gold. "I wanted the wedding to be classy elegant with a touch of rustic," Kady says. With 30 dining tables, Kady wanted to create various centerpieces. Lanterns, rose bouquets, pomanders and manzanita trees all decorated the pink and white tables. They included a fun candy bar and photo booth for guests to enjoy. "We are a fun loving and easy going couple and I think our wedding reflects that," Kady says.
