A Traditional, Elegant Wedding at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, Pennsylvania
When Jaslyn Burgos (25 and a special education teacher) first met Jason Carter (30 and a director at Educational Testing Service) on their first date, he had a black eye and stitches. Initially freaked, all was well when she learned that Jason had broken his orbital bone during a charity boxing match. The couple soon fell in love, and Jason proposed to Jaslyn in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square Park. The couple had a traditional black and white wedding at the historic Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Jaslyn's bridesmaids looked modern yet classic in their one shoulder, black chiffon dresses, and the groomsmen looked equally handsome in black tuxedos. Jaslyn herself wore a stunning trumpet style gown from Alvina Valenta with a dramatic horsehair trim tulle train. The ballroom in which the reception was held had beautiful windows all around and a skylight so that guests could enjoy natural light and estate's greenery while dining. Centerpieces of white flowers adorned the dining tables as guests feasted on braised brisket with parmesan polenta and coriander chicken with salsa verde and yucca sticks. For dessert, Jaslyn and Jason served a devil's food cake wedding cake with vanilla buttercream. The beaming couple left their wedding in style, surrounded by family and friends in a sparkler send off.
