A Traditional, Classic Wedding at North Carolina State University Club in Raleigh, North Carolina

Brianna Gault (24 and a client adviser) and Chris Gault (27 and a program manager) were brought together by Chris' best friend and set up on a blind date. After that first date, their relationship took off. They used to visit Lake Johnson in Raleigh, North Carolina frequently and one day after lunch, Chris suggested that they go for one of their usual walks by the lake. As they were walking, Brianna became anxious when she noticed someone was following them. As they made their way back to their car, Chris stopped and got down on one knee. The person following them ended up being Chris' sister who Chris asked to take pictures for the proposal. They decided to have a traditional wedding ceremony at the Jones Chapel at Meredith College. "I graduated from Meredith College and always thought the chapel was gorgeous," Brianna says. While Brianna graduated from Meredith College, Chris graduated from North Carolina State University so their reception was held at the North Carolina State University Club. "It only made sense to incorporate our alma maters into our wedding day," Brianna says. Brianna drew inspiration from Kate Middleton's wedding to Prince William and opted for a classic look. "If I could use every style, decor and dress used from Kate Middleton’s wedding, I would," she says. She chose a neutral color palette with touches of her favorite color, purple. The reception decor was kept simple with centerpieces of tall glass vases holding arrangements of purple roses and white hydrangeas. Brianna's maiden name is Rice, so as her and Chris made their way out of the reception, guests tossed rice in the air to congratulate them.
