A Traditional Church Wedding at Kenilworth Union Church in Kenilworth, Illinois

Eric (27 and in logistics) and Marguerite (26 and in media) were introduced through her best friend at a New Years Eve Party at the Palmer House in Chicago. After dating for a while, the couple adopted a dog they named Palmer in honor of the day they first met. One day in late June, Eric invited Marguerite on a "staycation" in a room at the Trump Hotel in downtown Chicago, where they could relax and watch the fireworks over Navy Pier. Prepared with a heartfelt letter, Eric proposed in their intimate hotel suite in front of the grand firework display. Marguerite decided she wanted to get married in the same church her parents had 28 years prior--and on the same date! They held their traditional ceremony in the ivy-covered Kenilworth Union Church followed by an warm reception a block away at the Kenilworth Club, which included a fireplace for the guests to warm their hands in the cool fall weather and a live band so guests could warm up their feet.
