A Traditional Church Wedding at Chapel at Meyer Center in Waco, Texas

Classic through and through, Crystal Cowan (21 and an animal caretaker) and Toby Smith (21 and in maintenance) combined traditional military style with a timeless church wedding at the Chapel at Meyer Center in Waco, Texas. The couple loved the meaning behind the church: “It is now owned by Mission Waco, an organization that helps the homeless get back on their feet and so much more,” the bride says. “What helped my decision was [knowing] that the money I paid for the venue was used to help my community.” The couple also adored the brightness from large windows and intricate architectural details to create a romantic space. The wedding color palette was blush, mint and pale yellow. “I’m obsessed with bright and happy things,” the bride says. She added a blush sash with floral appliques and sparkle to her lace A-line wedding dress and carried a bright bouquet of yellow, blush and white, which also provided a lovely contrast to her groom’s sharp military blues.
