A Traditional, Christian Wedding at Wellers Weddings Inc. in Saline, Michigan

Daniel Ruzycki (29 and a UPS driver) and Helen Ruzycki (23 and a nurse) met unexpectedly one day while Helen was working at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Dan and one of his friends were at the cash register where Helen was ringing guests out. When they reached the register, they could not stop laughing causing Helen to giggle as well. Dan and his friend left after completing their transaction but all of a sudden Dan returned and got back in line at Helen's register. After asking if he forgot something, Dan told her no but that she was really pretty and wanted to take her out. With Dan's smile, Helen gave him her number. Two years later, Dan bought Helen tickets to see the play of her favorite Disney movie, the Beauty and the Beast. After the play, Dan and Helen went for a walk in a nearby park. To distract Helen, Dan asked her about all of the Disney movies they've seen together considering they would have Disney movie marathons every Valentine's Day. Dan finally turned to Helen and said he had to ask Helen something and asked Helen to marry him pulling out a custom made ring from his pocket. Dan and Helen quickly chose to have their wedding at Wellers Weddings Inc. in Saline, MI for its outdoor charm. Their ceremony was in the Carriage House lot with its brick path and surrounding natural beauty. Dan and Helen each chose a color for the ceremony making their colors plum and watermelon pink. The couple always enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles together and, therefore, decided to make puzzle pieces a central theme for the day. Dan and Helen's faith is very important to them and was a major part of the ceremony. "Our service was very centered around glorifying God through our love," Helen said. Friends sang a small worship song at the beginning of the ceremony expressing the love between Dan and Helen. They also had a a foot washing ceremony as a unity symbol between them to show that they will serve each other for the rest of their lives. Dan and Helen celebrated with guests on an outdoor dance floor lit up by string lights and sparklers making for a magical ending to their special day.
