A Traditional Catholic Wedding at Basque Cultural Theater in South San Francisco, California

Patricia (33, a nurse) and Leonard (33, a civil servant) met through mutual friends while they were at a bowling party. Leonard gave Patricia his phone number while the group was out to dinner after bowling. They began to date and fell in love, and eventually Leonard proposed to Patricia by tricking her to check under her pillow where the ring was hidden. The couple wanted to have a traditional Catholic wedding, so they had their wedding at St. Brendan Church and held their reception at the Basque Cultural Theater afterwards in South San Francisco. The bride’s bouquet had an assortment of ivory roses, mini calla lilies, hydrangeas and green foliage, which reflected the rest of the wedding floral arrangements and decor at large. Going for a classic, elegant look, Patricia purchased a Maggie Sottero ivory dress with a fishtail train, beading around the waistline and Swarovski crystals scattered throughout the dress material. Leonard wore a classic black tuxedo with a light silver vest and necktie, going along with the theme as well. To make their wedding reflect Patricia’s cultural background of coming from Peru, the couple hired a group of Peruvian dancers to entertain as the wedding festivities went on.
