A Traditional Catholic Ceremony and Modern Reception at The Fig House in Los Angeles, California

The wedding of Erica Tighe and Paul Campbell began with a traditional Catholic ceremony at Holy Family Catholic Church in Los Angeles. "It was extra special because the only date the Fig House had available in all of 2018 was on December 8, which happens to be one of the biggest Holy Days in the Catholic tradition," Erica says. "I have a strong devotion to Mary and felt like she had a hand in the way it worked out." After the ceremony, guests headed to The Fig House (which was designed by Emily Henderson in 2014) for a modern reception. "The Fig House has quite a few beautiful mid-century couches and rugs," Erica says, adding that she decorated with candelabras, denim table runners, hanging brass place cards and paper goods in shades of navy, ochre and dusty rose. The escort cards were votive candles covered with an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe pressed with gold leaf onto sticker paper. "We had a huge wall shelf made to fit them perfectly, and the glow of the candles was so perfect," Erica says. "The guests all took their candles home too, and it's been really special to see them at all of our loved ones' homes." Paul wore a slim navy suit, while Erica went with a simple sleeved wedding dress with a cathedral veil. Her fall-inspired bouquet included orange flowers and red poppies, as well as an ochre ribbon.  The couple and their guests ended the night with churros, ice cream and coffee from their favorite local coffee shop.
