A Traditional Beach Wedding at The Naples Hotel and Golf Club in Naples, Florida

When they first met, Robert Wiesen, an endodontist, 31, was just a close friend’s older brother Bobby. He and Marissa Antonio, an attorney, 28, remained friends as they attended the same high school and college together. “We went on our first date and had our first kiss after 15 years of friendship,” says Marissa. “We both knew that night that our lives would never be the same.” The couple had a nautical themed beach wedding in Naples, Florida a year after they became engaged. Under a theme of traditional elegance, navy and white served as their wedding colors, says Marissa. Their outdoor beach ceremony was surrounded by palm trees and decorated with rows of simple white chairs. The fabric draped ceremony arch was accented with small arrangements of white hydrangea and light pink roses on each post. The couple’s favorite part of their day came next, the cocktail hour. “We had an absolutely beautiful, clear day and everyone was able to relax with a few drinks while they were watching the sunset,” says Marissa. "It was really stunning." Once inside, Marissa, Bobby and their guests enjoyed a sit-down dinner of grouper or chicken before dancing to live music from the band High Voltage.
