A Traditional Ballroom Wedding at Manor House in Mason, Ohio
Soosan Silanee (35 and an artists/designer) and Chris Cortez (35 and a designer/entrepreneur) met at a pizzeria over Memorial Day weekend in Brooklyn, New York. Although they had come with separate groups of friends, the two of them ended up talking and dancing the time away. Soosan’s sister gave Chris an invitation to her open studio night before he left. One week later, Soosan was surprised to see Chris there, and that was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Almost a year and a half of dating later, Chris proposed to Soosan on their rooftop with a custom made princess cut diamond ring. The couple had their formal, traditional Persian wedding at the Manor House in Mason, Ohio. The ceremony was held in the atrium, where Soosan walked down the aisle wearing a Mori Lee dress with Benjamin Adams London shoes. The classic, romantic reception was in the Magnolia Room, which was an open space filled with elegant touches of chandeliers, fireplaces and large windows to let the light in. The celebration was decked out in colors of magenta, green, navy and ivory, ranging from the dining table centerpieces to the wedding day’s fashions. Guests left the wedding with hand-illustrated love themed mugs designed by Soosan to remind them of the couple’s special day! To share even more love, Soosan and Chris announced they were going to have a baby by the end of the night!
