A Timeless Wedding at Grand Hotel in McKinney, Texas
Christine Broussard (25 and a human-resources generalist) and Cameron Broussard (26 and a senior sales account manager) wanted to be able to look back at their timeless and romantic wedding and, according to Christine, be “something that I could look back at in 30 years and say, ‘Yeah, I did that right.’ ” They got married at the bride’s hometown church, Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas. “We wanted the ceremony to be traditional and include aspects of our religion,” Christine says. For their reception, “we wanted a location that embodied Texas and had traditional and elegant elements,” Christine says. The couple chose the Grand Hotel in McKinney, Texas, for its history and its beautiful antique ceilings, exposed brick, chandeliers and rich wooden accents. The best part? “It has only 30 guest rooms, which were booked entirely by family and friends,” Christine says. The couple danced the night away to tunes from Bill Cody’s Party Time Productions, who played a mix of today’s hits and Persian music—a nod to Christine’s heritage. “Our DJ surprised us with balloons and glow sticks,” Christine says. “It just added to the fun atmosphere and made great pictures.” The details that were the most special to Christine and Cameron were the guest bags they provided to the guests at the hotel. “We wrote notes for each of the bags to each of our guests thanking them for being part of the weekend and celebrating our love,” Christine says. “We love to let the people in our lives know how much we love and appreciate them.” See the details captured by Fairy Tale Photography.
