A Timeless Tented Wedding at the Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst
Laura Jane Ball (30 and a regional manager) bumped into Daniel Craig (30 and a field sales manager) at a friend's Christmas party and broke the ice by asking if he was going to an ugly sweater party after. It was just his normal sweater but Daniel didn't take it to heart and the pair went on their first date after running into each other a second time five months later. Daniel proposed three years later on the beach in Isle of Palms, South Carolina and they quickly decided to get married in Pinehurst, North Carolina where both of Laura Jane's sister had been married. "Pinehurst is a magical place and my older sisters had beautiful weddings there so I wanted to continue the tradition but was cautious to create my own unique experience," says Laura Jane. The couple exchanged vows in a candlelit evening ceremony at The Village Chapel, which was decorated with iron lanterns and floral wreaths, before celebrating at the Country Club of North Carolina. An understated champagne and blush color scheme lent a formal air to the clear tented reception and fabric draping with amber up-lighting added to the romantic ambiance. Lush pale arrangements of dahlias and peonies filled tall silver vases and french-inspired furniture created a lounge area within the outdoor space. ?" The reception had three different areas—inside the club ballroom was draped off, an upper tented terrace, and a lower tented terrace, each with bars and tables," says Laura. "Guests gradually moved from one level down to where the dancing was as the evening progressed!"
