A Timeless North Carolina State University Wedding at The State Club in Raleigh, North Carolina

Ashley Overcash (22 and and works in engineering) and Tanner Hardee (23 and an account manager) fell in love during their time at North Carolina State University. Tanner proposed two years later during a NC State pride-filled weekend (The Wolfpack beat University of North Carolina's basketball team) and it came as no surprise when the couple planned a timeless affair at The State Club on campus. "Since we first met and fell in love at North Carolina State University, it couldn't have been more fitting for the two of us to celebrate our marriage on the grounds of our beloved Alma Mater!" says Ashley. "Plus, the weather in North Carolina during the spring can be very unpredictable so we avoided the stress of wedding day weather." The bride stunned in a refined lace San Patrick gown and carried a white cascading bouquet filled with hydrangeas, lilacs, garden roses, calla lilies, stephanotis and peonies. The State Club's impressive double staircase in the main foyer, marble floors and huge ballroom complete with crystal chandeliers lent an air of old-world grandeur their traditional celebration.

Inspired by her love of Steel Magnolias, Ashley went with a "blush and bashful" color palette of white and pink with pops of navy blue for the groom.
The lush flower arrangements included lilies,
peonies, hydrangeas, roses and orchids.
"I knew from the start that I wanted a head-to-toe lace wedding dress!" says Ashley. "I love the elegance and classic look of a lace wedding dress and with our wedding theme it was a perfect look!"

Ashley's grandmother gave her a blue crystal pin to add to her white bouquet as her something borrowed and something blue.
"Since we first met and fell in love at North Carolina State University, it couldn't have been more fitting for the two of us to celebrate our marriage on the grounds of our beloved Alma Mater!" says Ashley.
Ashley and Tanner left through a sparkler-lined exit and into a classic, white Excalibur getaway car.
"The weather in North Carolina during the spring can be very unpredictable as far has rain and thunderstorms so we opted for an indoor wedding to avoid the stress of wedding day weather," says Ashley. "It turned out that we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day!"
