A Sunshine-Inspired, Summer Wedding at Stonebridge Country Club in Smithtown, New York

“I wanted to make everyone smile,” Caly Meyers (28 and an HR and volunteer manager) says of planning a joyous, sunshine-themed summer wedding to Jay Mixa (33 and a web developer). Yellow blooms and cheery striped table linens marked the day. Ceremony programs simply stated “you are my happy,” and Caly walked down the aisle to “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles. “I’ve always loved daisies and wildflowers,” Caly says of her compact bouquet. “They remind me of summer days spent at our lake house.” Aquatic details like tropical fish cake toppers and hand-doodled table numbers created by the couple’s nieces and nephews were a nod to the pair’s saltwater aquarium and added another element of fun. “Our style is sunny, bright and happy,” Caly says. “I wanted to create a space where guests could kick back, connect and smile.”
