A Summer, Garden Wedding at the General's House of the Lions Gate Hotel in Sacramento, California
Lynnae Clark (29 and a data analyst) and Kevin Landberg (29 and a project manager) met while working part-time together at Target in Chico, California. After Lynnae gave Kevin her number, they clicked and started spending all of their time together. The couple dated for seven years before Kevin proposed. With a trip to Sonoma for Lynnae's birthday planned, Kevin popped the question in a garden at a winery with a simple, white gold and round solitaire ring. They chose to have the wedding at the Lions Gate Hotel in Sacramento, California. The ceremony and reception were both held outdoors at the General's House on the hotel property because the of the venue's beautiful and intimate backyard setting. Lynnae and Kevin decided on a silver, turquoise and coral color palette which was seen in the silver bridesmaid dresses while the groomsmen were dressed in dark gray suits and silver ties. For the table decor, Lynnae's mother hand-painted frames in turquoise and silver and chose white and clear vases. The flowers were a variety of roses, peonies, lisianthus and dusty miller foliage to tie in the white, ivory, and pink coral part of the color palette. With a cocktail hour and dinner full of exceptional food, dessert was no different. The newlyweds had a beautiful white and silver two-tiered round chocolate truffle cake with two additional flavors for their guests: a princess torte (vanilla cake with raspberry filling) and chocolate mousse. Despite the weather being over 100 degrees, that did not stop TJ Jurado of Entertainment Team from making the reception a night to remember. "The DJ is a really important choice because he/she keeps the evening flowing and should make sure your guests are having fun," says Lynnae.
