A Subtly Grand Wedding at the Netherfield Plaza in Cincinnati, Ohio
Lindsey Van Orsdel (29, teacher) and Brent Van Orsdel (29, sales) met on Match.com. When Brent asked Lindsey out on a date for the first time, she almost didn't go. "I really didn't want to go since it was Sunday evening, but I went for it." Luckily, it was worth it. "Brent was kind, polite and very handsome." They sat on the rooftop of Teller's in Hyde Park Square in Cincinnati and enjoyed drinks and good conversation. Eight months later, they were engaged. Brent proposed in Ault Park after dinner at Teller's, the location of their first date, and Lindsey was thrilled when she said yes. For their wedding, Lindsey and Brent kept things traditional. They got married at St. Thomas Church in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, where Lindsey's parents and siblings were married and where Lindsey was baptized. The reception was held in the Hall of Mirrors at the Hilton Netherfield Plaza in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. The color scheme was beige with pops of blush that complemented the grandeur of the Hall of Mirrors. Brent and his groomsmen dressed in black tie. Lindsey wore a lace, mermaid style Enzoani dress that matched her mother's lace veil. The bridesmaids wore long, one-shoulder Jim Hjelm dresses in beige chiffon, and the bridal party carried white bouquets of roses and hydrangeas. The muted grandeur of the event made it a spectacle to behold.
