A Spring Wedding at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs, Florida
Jennifer Skalko (32, works in management) and Duane Hettich (48, works in management) met at work and began to date within a few months. Duane included the couple’s two pugs in his proposal. “Sadie and Maxwell had notes attached to their harnesses that I had to open, asking if I will marry their Daddy,” says Jennifer. “When I looked up from reading the notes, Duane was on one knee and asking me if I would marry him.” Just nine months later, the couple had wedding filled with bright accents at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point. “I have always loved bright and vibrant colors and wanted to incorporate them in my wedding to ensure it truly resembled me and my personality,” says Jennifer. The couple decorated their ceremony with white folding chairs and lush arrangements of pink stargazer lilies, roses and hydrangeas as well as green hydrangeas. Similar colorful arrangements were included in Jennifer and Duane’s reception as centerpieces with gold accents. The couple had large gold table numbers, old tea light candles and gold chargers set on each ivory linen covered table.“There wasn't one thing that best reflected us as a couple, but really the entire day,” says Jennifer. “We wanted it to be a fun experience for all our guests and selecting the best venue and vendors was really important to us.”
