A Spring-Inspired Wedding at Carnton Plantation in Franklin, Tennessee

Jennifer Graeter (26) and Austin Graeter (25 and a pilot) envisioned an outdoor springtime wedding, and the Carnton Plantation was the perfect place for their sweet celebration. After seeing the venue on a friend's recommendation, they were sold. The gorgeously manicured grounds with large trees, beautiful gardens and stately mansion backdrop was everything they were looking for. Plus, the plantation offered tours during cocktail hour to entertain their guests. Jennifer and Austin incorporated a coral and mint palette throughout to enhance the springtime vibes, including fresh floral arrangements from the talented Cyndi Snyder. After their ceremony under a massive tree, the reception took place in a tent with string lights, where guests enjoyed a Southern-inspired meal followed by a beautiful pair of cakes by Frosted Affair—one with buttercream rosettes and an airplane cake topper, and a college football-inspired groom’s cake—two true reflections of Jennifer and Austin. Their tip? Bringing a photo booth into their reception was a last-minute decision, but they agree: It was well worth it. See the details below, captured by Evin Photography.
