A Spring Country Club Wedding at The Palisades Country Club in Charlotte, North Carolina

Kandis Burton (26 and an attorney recruiter) and Matthew Dale (31 and an IT analyst) met at a party hosted by Kandis' friend while she was visiting in Charlotte, North Carolina. For Kandis, it was love at first sight when Matthew walked in the door. Remembering everything he wore to the smile on his face, she was glad when he stopped the Miami Heat basketball game and went to talk to her. They spent the rest of her visit together, and when she graduated, Kandis packed her car and drove ten hours to North Carolina taking a leap of faith and luckily, it worked out! Two years later, Matthew planned a romantic dinner for Kandis with a special surprise. Thinking the surprise was tiramisu, she was overjoyed when she opened her eyes and saw Matthew on one knee with a ring! Kandis always knew she wanted to get married outside, so when her and Matthew toured The Palisades Country Club, the pine trees overlooking the golf course and gorgeous ballroom were perfect. As a hopeless romantic, Kandis chose a soft color palette of cream, gold, and peach seen in the bridesmaid dresses and floral arrangements. With fantastic food throughout the cocktail hour and reception, what really stood out for the guests was the popcorn bar that featured four flavors. In addition, guests were able to enjoy the cigar bar throughout the evening on the outdoor patio. "A wedding isn't the finish line, it's the starting point. It doesn't matter what happens on the day of - if a thousand things go wrong, you will still end up married to your best friend at the end of the day," says Kandis.
