A Southern Wedding at a Private Residence in Charleston, South Carolina
Plenty of burlap, splashes of blush pink and even wooden fan favors made Anna Branham (30 and a respiratory therapist) and Matt West's (32 and a tugboat captain) wedding a quintessential Southern fete. The day started in a traditional ceremony at First Baptist Church in Sumter, South Carolina. The sanctuary was beautiful and meaningful to Anna since her grandfather was one of the architects and Anna's parents and her brother were all married in the same place. Since only Anna's and Matt's families were invited to the ceremony, the couple had two receptions. The first was across the street from the church at O'Donnell House. Then they met their friends at Matt's uncle's old rice plantation in Charleston, South Carolina. The towering oak trees, Spanish moss and gorgeous vistas of the marsh were absolutely stunning. Plus, Anna and Matt had their first date on the property, so it was full of wonderful memories. See all our favorite details, beautifully captured by Megan Manus Photography, below.
