A Southern Summer Wedding at Still Hollow Farm in Greeneville, Tennessee
Matt Aiken, 28, a setup and maintenance worker, married Chandra Aiken, 26, a radiologic technologist, in a vibrant summer wedding in Greeneville, Tennessee. The couple first met in 2003 and began dating the following year. Matt proposed on a waterfall hike while the couple was on their annual trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for Chandra's birthday. They chose Still Hollow Farm as the venue for their special day because they wanted to have an outdoor ceremony with a church wedding feel. Still Hollow Farm allowed them to incorporate wooden church pews and double wooden doors. Both Matt and Chandra love southern summers, so they chose a theme of a southern summer night with feminine details. The color palette was based around the coral/pink shade in the bridesmaid attire with various shades of green. "When you crossed the unique wooden bridge above the creek to our ceremony, I felt every detail screamed summer elegance and I loved it!" Chandra says. Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a dinner of grilled hamburgers and hotdogs with strawberry lemonade, sweet tea and berry-infused water to drink. The dance floor also featured a stand with Angry Orchard, white peach sangria and blackberry sangria. Cornhole boards and a bonfire with s'mores were also set up to keep guests entertained. "Matt and I are rather laid back and love spending summer nights with family and friends doing simple things like a bonfire and enjoying company of our loved ones, and we wanted our wedding to represent us in this fashion," says the bride.
