A Sophisticated Wedding at Lawry’s the Prime Rib in Beverly Hills, California

Jon Rodriguez (26 and a commercial insurance account executive) and Andrew Allen (28 and a musical theater performer) have a sweet love story. “Our first date was on a sunny day in downtown LA,” Jon says. “We split a Sprinkles cupcake and instantly bonded.” Fittingly, when Andrew proposed, he offered Jon a Sprinkles cupcake topped with a sugar ring before presenting the real rock. For their intimate ceremony and reception, Jon and Allen chose a classic Los Angeles restaurant—Lawry’s the Prime Rib in Beverly Hills, California. The Oak Room provided a sophisticated setting that transitioned easily from ceremony to dinner. Jon chose a subtle palette of ivory with silver accents. “The space was decorated with white rose petals along the aisle and white pillar candles on the hearth of the fireplace.” After enjoying Lawry’s famous prime rib and cutting into a chic three-layer ivory cake accented with edible silver-leaf and fresh white blossoms, all 50 guests took home packets of planting seeds. “We did ‘Let love grow’ wildflower seed packets—they were in the form of plantable paper hearts,” Jon says. —Carolyn Meers
