A Sophisticated Waterfront Wedding at Beaver Creek Plantation in Twin City, Georgia
Ashleigh Clark (23 and a registered nurse) and Josh Jones (26 and an assistant manager of operations) vaguely knew each other from church before they were set up. They hit it off on their first date and about two and a half years later, Josh shocked Ashleigh with a proposal. "He told me we were going to a hobby shop in Hilton Head to look at model airplanes but he wanted to stop to get something to eat before we got there," says Ashleigh. "We ended up in Harbour Town and he insisted we go up the lighthouse since it was a beautiful day with incredible views— before I knew it he was down on one knee asking me to marry him!" After a 14-month engagement, the couple invited guests to a stunning waterfront ceremony followed by a classic tented reception. The couple exchanged vows under a statement wooden arbor decorated with hanging garland, blush flowers and an iron monogram backdrop. Working with a soft mint and cream color palette, the couple hoped to achieve a classy-meets-rustic affair. Wood and iron accents, in addition to the lush ivory flowers, warmed the white reception. Berry's Catering in Floral created pale pink and cream arrangements using an assortment of flowers from hydrangeas and roses to calla lilies. "I couldn't have asked for anything closer to exactly what I saw in my mind!" says Ashleigh.
