A Sophisticated Spring Wedding at the Castle on Stagecoach in Little Rock, Arkansas
For their spring nuptials, Amanda Opitz and Justin Reeves planned a romantic affair that drew inspiration from their home of Paris, France.
“I originally envisioned a barn and Pinterest wedding, but that went out the window as soon as we saw the Castle,” Amanda says of their Little Rock, Arkansas, venue, the Castle on Stagecoach. To maintain an element of rustic flair, the pair incorporated details such as lanterns, wheel chandeliers, and vintage boxes and crates throughout. “Our décor was pretty minimalist, but it was just enough to get the ambience we wanted,” Amanda says.
Shades of blush, cream, sage and peach lent the evening an undeniable air of softness, while strands of fairy lights brought in a touch of whimsy. For the ceremony, the pair said “I do” under a charming old growth tree, which they decorated with sheer cream-colored fabric and black lanterns decked out with peach blooms and greenery.
To put a personal twist on the festivities, Amanda and Justin wrote their own vows, and their close family members and friends helped conduct the ceremony. Even the fashion brought out the couple's personalities, with Amanda donning an elegant, lace-trimmed A-line dress (with pockets!) from a boutique near Versailles and Justin sporting a blue pinstripe suit from Italian suit maker Canali.
“The one thing I would tell any couple approaching their wedding day is this: It doesn’t have to be perfect to be perfect to you. Lots of little things went ‘wrong’ on our big day—including me forgetting my bouquet in the bridal cottage—but none of it bothered us,” Amanda says. “The only thing that mattered was that we got to celebrate our love surrounded by our friends and family.”
