A Sophisticated, Rustic Chic Fall Wedding at the Highlands Country Club in Garrison, New York

“Dov and I both love the fall season,” Margot Friedman (28 and a speech language pathologist) says of planning a festive, cozy affair with Dov Harrington (33 and a technical program manager) filled with pumpkin table numbers, a s’mores station and chic silver accents.

Family and friends looked on from white folding chairs as Margot and Dov put their own twist on Jewish wedding traditions. “Instead of me circling Dov seven times, we circled each other three times before completing a final circle together,” Margot says of sealing the deal under a handheld chuppah.

Burlap runners and white pumpkins put a country-chic spin on each tablescape. Unstructured centerpieces consisted of stock, spray roses, silver brunia and thistle.

Mulled cider was the hit of Margot and Dov’s cocktail hour, along with Southern-inspired bites of barbecue pulled pork and mac and cheese. After indulging in a dinner of Parmesan risotto and chimichurri steak, the newlyweds cut into a tiered spice cake filled with cinnamon pumpkin cream cheese for dessert.
