A Sophisticated Loft Wedding at Morgan Manufacturing in Chicago, Illinois

Three months after they wed in an intimate ceremony in Portland, Oregon, newlyweds Joyce and Sean hosted a formal reception surrounded by 200 guests. “We wanted to create the feel of an upscale party,” Joyce says of their sophisticated reception style. Clusters of peonies and roses were hung high above tablescapes, making for a showstopping floral focal point.
Joyce opted for a feathered asymmetrical gown, while Sean donned a dapper bespoke suit and black tie for the occasion. Low-lying arrangements of punchy pink, peach and orange blooms topped dining tables, allowing guests to chat with ease.
Partygoers indulged in salted caramel panna cotta, peanut butter truffles and warm chocolate chip cookies before taking home late-night treats from The Bento Box. “We loved that some of our favorite neighborhood joints were incorporated into the dining experience,” Joyce says.
