A Sophisticated Fall Wedding at Mill's House Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina
Caitlin Durkin (27 and a key account manager) and Andrew Mayo (27 and an outside sales representative) shared a large bottle of Barefoot wine during their first date at Providence College while watching the NCAA Men's Championship basketball game. "We both know that the sparks started flying as soon as we realized that we both have a love for sports and cheap wine in common!" says Caitlin. "When Andrew proposed, he combined all of our favorites into one night—he planned dinner at a restaurant resembling a wine cellar from one of our most memorable trips and also organized for the server to bring out the same big bottle of Barefoot wine from our first date!" Eleven months later, Caitlin and Andrew got married in Charleston, South Carolina at St. John's Cathedral downtown followed by a reception at the Mill's House Hotel. "My family has had a house in Charleston for the past ten years so it has become a second home," says Caitlin. "I've always dreamed of having my wedding there and my dream wedding came true!" Caitlin's show-stopping Justin Alexander dress, with a sophisticated beaded back and blush chiffon bridesmaid dresses set the tone for their romantic petal pink and silver color palette. In order to achieve a traditional wedding style, the couple filled the reception with white hydrangeas, light pink roses and peonies. "I've always loved petal pink, cream and silver so it just seemed to naturally happen as the planning took place," says Caitlin. "My mother and I have almost identical taste which made the planning even more fun!"
