A Sophisticated, Classy Wedding at Loews Philadelphia Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Jennifer Luu (27 and a financial analyst) and Daniel Roan (31 and a physician) met through mutual friends while both of them were working in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. "We didn't hit it off initially, but I was persistent," says Jennifer. Although they had been talking about marriage for a while, Dan still wanted to surprise Jennifer with his proposal. Jennifer was on high alert: "I made sure to always have my manicure on point just in case it happened to be 'that day.'" He succeeded in catching her off guard by proposing to her at home, in their apartment. Jennifer and Dan's wedding was a swanky affair at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, located in the historic PSFS building. Their color palette was a sophisticated combination of pink, cream and nude, which were beautifully incorporated into bouquets of ranunculus, roses, dusty miller, astilbe and calla lilies. After a traditional Christian ceremony, Jennifer and Dan performed a Chinese tea ceremony with their immediate families while the rest of their guests were enjoying cocktail hour. For this ceremony, which represents respect for family, Jennifer changed into a traditional red and gold qipao. At the reception, Jennifer looked radiant in a lace fit-and-flare gown by Watters. Her bridesmaids wore a variety of floor-length dresses in shades of blush, taupe and gold, and Dan and his groomsmen looked dapper in their Black Lapel tuxedos. This classy multicultural wedding was a gorgeous celebration of Jennifer and Dan's union.
