A Soft, Elegant Wedding at the Patrick Henry Ballroom in Roanoke, Virginia
Kecia Foster (29 and a medical device saleswoman) and David Purser (29 and self-employed) attribute their meeting to fate. They met on a night when neither of them wanted to go out. Both were dragged by friends to a local bar, and both were waiting in line for the bathroom when they struck up a conversation and everything clicked. They became an inseparable couple. David invited Kecia to visit his hometown of Boston, England and meet his family. Once in the UK, David surprised Kecia with a trip to Edinburgh in Scotland. They stayed in a local bed and breakfast and took a tour of the city by double decker bus. At the foot of the Edinburgh Castle, David got down on one knee and asked Kecia to be his wife. Kecia and David chose to have an indoor wedding with both the ceremony and reception at the Patrick Henry Ballroom in Roanoke, Virginia. To convert the space from a ceremony venue to a reception venue, the couple shuttled their guests to Mill Mountain Park to take pictures with the Roanoke Star during cocktail hour. The ceremony was light and airy with all white decor, while the reception was romantic with pink lighting and glittery details. The wedding color palette was blush, gray and white. "We wanted a romantic, classic elegance with a touch of glam and sparkle," says the bride. Kecia and David's pretty and light wedding was a stunner with its simple elegance.
