A Sleek, Sophisticated Wedding at Hyatt Regency Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland
Megan Barber (34 and a sales manager) and Garett Leap (35 and a project manager) met on the opening day of the Baltimore Orioles. It was unseasonably cold that day, and they had both sought out the same local bar to warm themselves from the chill. They had been dating for five years when they went on a trip to Europe. Garett proposed to Megan on the Charles Bridge during their last night in Prague. Their sleek, sophisticated wedding took place at the Hyatt Regency on the Baltimore Inner Harbor. The heartwarming ceremony took place outdoors in the waterfront garden, and the following reception was located in the hotel's rooftop hall. "The location of the event space is second to none," says Megan, who used to work as a catering sales manager at the hotel. "It has sweeping views of the harbor unlike any other venue in the city." Floral arrangements were kept to a minimum at this trendy wedding; instead, candles of different sizes and purple and blue uplighting enhanced the already stunning reception hall. Between a delicious dinner and nonstop dancing, Megan and Garett treated their guests to a cookie bar, which had a variety of treats and different flavors of milk. Their modern, minimalist wedding was both fun and sophisticated.
