A Simply Classic Wedding at the Westlake Village Inn

Katy Chicotka (31, a veterinarian) and Scott Chicotka (32, a surgeon) dated throughout college until graduation, when they decided to go their separate ways. They both ended up going into the medical field and reconnected 7 years later, and it didn't take them long to pick up where they left off. After one month of dating again, they decided to get engaged and just one year later, they were married. They had their wedding ceremony and reception at the Westlake Village Inn in Westlake Village, California so guests could convenient ally stay where the wedding festivities were taking place. Katy and Scott were having their wedding around Christmas time and the holidays in general, so they wanted to do more than just a traditional wedding but at the same time keep it classy. With a color palette of gray and pink and an amazing florist who decorated the venue, they did just that. "I wore a completely different dress than I had in mind when I was researching," says Katy. "I had been looking for dresses with straps and ruche with no sparkle. My dress was a strapless gown with beads in a modified mermaid style." At the end of the day, Katy and Scott could look back on the location and memories that really reflected their personal taste.
