A Simple Wedding at The Phoenix in Cincinnati, Ohio

Ashley Seuberling (26, a benefits administrator) and Steven Witt (32, a researcher) met through Match.com and had their first date at a Cincinnati Reds baseball game. They discovered a strong connection between one another and shortly afterwards began to date. Two and a half years later, the couple went away to Nashville, Tennessee for the weekend. They got back to their hotel room after having drinks with friends and Ashley noticed a bottle of champagne with a note that read “Turn around.” As she did, there was Steven on one knee with an engagement ring. Ashley and Steven got married at The Phoenix in Downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, a late 19th century building with Italian Renaissance-inspired architecture. The ceremony took place in the Archway Ballroom of the venue, where the bride walked down the aisle in her strapless ivory wedding dress designed by Maggie Sottero. Ashley carried a simple yet elegant bouquet of ivory roses and calla lilies, and in the middle of each lily was a Swarovski crystal diamond. They chose a color palette of purple, white and black to accent wedding elements like the calla lilies in square vases submerged in water and card stock invitations with beautiful scrollwork. "The entire day was special for both Steve and I," says Ashley. "From celebrating with friends and family to the actual wedding day, it could not have been any more perfect."
