A Simple Wedding at Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast in Palmetto, Florida

Jessica Heiser (a world history teacher) and Matthew Herring (an engineer) started dating in 2007 and became engaged while on vacation in Europe. The couple had just visited Turkey and Ukraine when they landed in Italy and Matthew dropped to one knee on a Roman beach. Along with Tres Chic Southern Weddings, the couple planned a simple outdoor wedding filled with orange and navy blue accents. Jessica and Matthew decorated their ceremony space at Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast with simple white folding chairs. Flower petals in red, orange, white and purple also flowed down the aisle in a scroll design toward their classic white wedding arch. After Jessica and Matthew exchanged vows, their friends and family members moved closer to the venue for an outdoor reception. Classic black-star-detailed escort cards pointed each guest to his or her seat among blue-linen-covered round tables. Each table was set with white lantern centerpieces, white china and white linens. After dinner, the couple treated their guests to a fun three-tier blue-and-white wedding cake with an unexpected detail of cascading strawberries. The rest of Jessica and Matthew's night was spent on the dance floor, surrounded by friends and family under string lighting.
