A Simple Wedding at Mahoning Country Club in Girard, Ohio

Andrea Novotny (26, a registered nurse) and Gabe Novotny (32, in supply chain management) met through mutual friends while Andrea was still attending

Andrea Novotny (26, a registered nurse) and Gabe Novotny (32, in supply chain management) met through mutual friends while Andrea was still attending undergraduate school. Once Andrea moved back home, she ran into Gabe at a local bar and they reconnected. The two of them went to a Cleveland Indians baseball game since they were both huge fans, and from there on out started dating for the next three years. The couple moved to Houston, Texas and that following year Gabe proposed during what Andrea thought was an early birthday present trip to San Antonio. Their wedding ceremony took place at St. Roberts Catholic Church in Cortland, Ohio where Gabe had attended church with his grandparents when he was younger. The reception that followed was held at Mahoning Country Club in Girard, Ohio where they had no seating chart so guests were encouraged to mingle with each other more freely. Thank you cards were personalized with photos of guests that were taken at the photo booth during the reception, along with a beer coozie favors that read "To have and to hold, and to keep your beer cold." on one side, and on the other was an image of Texas with a heart over Houston, where they happily moved together.

The invitations were one of my favorite pieces of the wedding, which I found on Etsy.com,” says Andrea. “The invitations resembled a train ticket, and to RSVP the guest pulled off part of the ticket to send back.”
Pink Open-Toed Shoes With Crystal Accent
Andrea held a bouquet of pink roses with her great-grandmother's handkerchief. She also carried a picture of Gabe's mother who had passed away in her bouquet of flowers.
“I wore a Mori Lee strapless sweetheart gown,” says Andrea. “I loved the bedding of the top, and fullness of the bottom. The layers of the bottom of the dress were different than all of the other dresses I tried on. As soon as I put the dress on, I knew it was the one.”

“We had a church wedding at St. Roberts Catholic Church in Cortland, Ohio,” says Andrea. “Gabe attended the church with his grandparents, and his grandfather Novotny was good friends with Father Kish.”

"The bridesmaids and flower girl wore gray dresses with pink shoes and pink accessories, carrying pink flowers,” says Andrea. “The groomsmen & ringrnbearer wore Ralph Lauren grey tuxes with ties, and the groom wore a grey tux with a bow tie. All had a pink satin pocket squares.”rn

At the reception, tables were covered in dark gray tablecloths and had dark pink linens folded inside the glassware.
Guests wrote a personal message to the couple on a wooden board shaped like the couple's last name initial "N".

“As a gift we gave everyone a beer coozie "To have and to hold, and to keep your beer cold" on one side, and a picture of Texas with a heart over Houston on the other side,” says Andrea.
