A Simple Wedding at Balmoral Event Center in Haines City, Florida, With a Neutral Color Palette
For their Florida wedding, Zachary and Tuquan selected Balmoral Event Center in Haines City to serve as a refined, contemporary backdrop to the modern celebration with a black-and-taupe color palette. Zachary and Tuquan's spring wedding date was chosen for a special reason—the date falls between both of their birthdays. With spring serving as the backdrop to their wedding, the couple leaned into contemporary farmhouse vibes to match their venue then sprinkled in burgundy-hued floral arrangements and ample greenery. The couple explains that they "did pretty much everything that newlyweds do in a traditional wedding," but they found ways to infuse personality into their day to make the entire event meaningful and unique. Notably, they made sure to weave their chosen color palette all throughout the day, starting with the invitations, since the hues they selected were their favorite colors. "It was important to us to keep the same floral color palette as our invitation because these were our favorite colors," they explain.
Looking back on the wedding day, both Zachary and Tuquan point to the wedding processional as their favorite part of the entire day. "We have to say walking down the aisle together was the main event of the whole entire day. That moment was so great to share together as a couple and seeing our entire family and friends there to support us. Not to mention seeing some of our guests getting emotional just seeing us walk down the aisle." The sense of joy they felt is something Zachary and Tuquan hope all to-be-weds experience on their wedding day. In that vein, they encourage everyone currently in the throes of wedding planning to remember to "try not to spend too much time worrying about your guest on your wedding day, it's about you!"
