A Simple Wedding at Ballard Bay Club in Seattle, Washington

Hailey Hays (30 and a marketing executive) and James Padilla (29 and a financial advisor) both performed onstage within the Seattle theater community, but they'd never met until Hailey approached James at a restaurant. Shortly after, the two of them went on a date and stayed together from that point on. After four years of dating, the couple took their annual trip to Disneyland. Once they entered the park, James wanted to keep up their tradition and take a photo in front of the castle. As they approached the Disneyland monument, James got down on one knee and proposed to Hailey in front of the entire park. “Never have I felt more like a princess, with everyone cheering for us as they entered the park to view my prince proposing,” says Hailey. Their wedding took place at the Ballard Bay Club in Seattle, Washington, located on the waterfront of the Puget Sound that overlooks the Olympic Mountains. Their wedding date was exactly five years after Hailey approached James at the restaurant, remembering the day that changed their lives forever. Their simple wedding -- with a blue, white, gray and metallic color palette -- was decorated with lush flower arrangements. At the waterfront ceremony, large Grecian vases were filled with hydrangeas and roses accented with ivy. The indoor reception had table centerpieces that incorporated ivy picked from a friend’s house, which added a personal touch to the decor.
